The ENDURE Book Series

ONE STORY. AN EVOLVING JOURNEY. A FRAMEWORK FORGED THROUGH EXPERIENCE.

The ENDURE book series traces a journey from the experiences that shape us, to the moment we recognize that a different direction is possible, and ultimately to the principles that can help us move forward with intention.

It begins with ENDURE: To Suffer With Patience—an honest account of the childhood experiences, abuse, and early addiction that shaped Dakotah Sanders' life long before he understood their influence.

In the books that follow, the story moves into adulthood and the person those experiences helped shape, eventually reaching the recognition that a choice exists and continuing into recovery. The series ultimately leads to the ENDURE Framework, where the lessons discovered through lived experience become principles that others can explore and apply to their own lives.

WHERE THE STORY BEGINS

ENDURE: TO SUFFER WITH PATIENCE

ENDURE: To Suffer With Patience is an unfiltered novel based on true events, exploring the experiences that shaped a life long before their influence was fully understood.

Through childhood abuse, family conflict, and early exposure to addiction, Dakotah Sanders looks back honestly at where his story began and the experiences that helped shape the person he was becoming.

This first book does not offer a framework or attempt to provide all the answers. It does something that must often come first: acknowledge what happened.

BEHIND THE STORY

BEFORE THERE WAS ENDURE

Writing To Suffer With Patience began as a way to put a life into words—not to teach a lesson or present a philosophy, but to tell the story as Dakotah understood it at the time.

As the story took shape, connections began to emerge between experiences, beliefs, behaviors, and the person he was becoming. What had once existed as separate memories began to form a larger picture.

At the time, there was no ENDURE Framework and no larger philosophy behind the story. There was simply a willingness to look back, acknowledge what had shaped him, and put those experiences into words.

THAT CAME FIRST.

WHAT COMES NEXT

THE STORY CONTINUES

ENDURE: To Suffer With Patience is only the beginning.

The next book continues the story into adulthood, exploring the person those early experiences helped shape, the consequences that followed, and the moment when Dakotah began to recognize that a choice existed.

From there, the story moves into recovery and the process of learning to live with greater intention and purpose.

Beyond the story, a future book will introduce the ENDURE Framework—bringing together the principles and ideas that grew from the lessons discovered along the way.

THE STORY IS STILL BEING WRITTEN.

FROM THOSE WHO'VE READ IT

WHAT READERS ARE SAYING

This book is a poignant reflection of a child's resiliency as well as an illustration of how intergenerational trauma, substance use, toxic relationships, and patterns of abuse shape our children's lives.

 — Tammy Goertz, LMSW, LMAC

“The skill of the author had me holding his hand in each moment. The realism and the description of his response to events and thoughts were very relatable. I could have smelled the graveyard of cigarettes and tasted the mouthful of pennies with his eloquent storytelling.”

— Kasia H.

“Captivating. This book drew me in and kept me engaged. His ability to describe his journey and inner dialogue made me feel like a welcome passenger... I hope that people will leave its pages feeling compassion and grace for others and leave behind judgment.”

— Sara Alexander
